The Superfinals of the Russian Championships were held within the framework of the Chess in Museums program implemented by the Russian Chess Federation and the Elena and Gennady Timchenko Charitable Foundation. The total guaranteed prize fund of the competition was 11 million rubles: in the open tournament - 7 million rubles, in the women's tournament - 4 million rubles.

Traditionally, a social program day is organized at the Superfinals: famous grandmasters conduct simultaneous games and master classes for young chess players and veterans. On October 15, at the Mikhail Nesterov Bashkir State Art Museum, Sergei Shipov held a session with disabled children. On the same day, sessions with Evgeny Miroshnichenko and Alexander Shimanov took place in the Bashkiria lifestyle center, and a children's tournament was also organized there.
