Three Agidel hockey players will play for another team at tournament in Sochi

The WHL Open Cup is a pre-season tournament among women's hockey teams in Sochi. Ufa HC Agidel will go there after a triumphant victory over KRS Vanke Rays in the final series for the WHL main trophy.

Six teams had to fight for the prize of the open Cup, but the St. Petersburg club Dynamo-Neva withdrew its application. Thus, the national team of China, the junior team of Russia (U-18), Nizhny Novgorod SKIF, and KRS Vanke Rays will compete for the prestigious pre-season trophy with Agidel. It will be a round-robin tournament, according to the results of which the winner of the Cup will be determined.

It is noteworthy that three Agidel hockey players at once - defenders Angelina Makhmutova and Anna Sviridova, and forward Ksenia Tyurina - will participate in the tournament as part of the junior national team of Russia.
