National final of WorldSkills Russia-2021 has begun in Ufa

The opening ceremony of the final of the IX National Championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia) - 2021 took place in Ufa, in the Vatan park, on the evening of August 25.

Competitors from 76 regions of Russia were greeted on stage. Several thousand spectators gathered on the slopes of the amphitheater. Air balloons in the sky over Ufa flew over the stage and decorated the ceremony.

The main theme of the festive opening was the "WorldSkills planet" - the planet of excellence and professionalism.

The organizers tried to show the guests the culture of the Bashkir people: a kurai sounded from the stage and artists in national costumes performed. A fire show above the stage accompanied the performance.

A welcoming telegram from Vladimir Putin was read to the participants from the stage. He wished the young professionals a successful performance and thanked the mentors and coaches for their preparation.

Cosmic greetings to the Bashkir planet WorldSkills were transmitted from the International Space Station, and the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, gave a ceremonial start to the championship.

In continuation of the space theme, a thousand drones with LEDs rose into the sky over Ufa. The drones at the height of several tens of meters were lined up in figures and inscriptions of incredible complexity. This is how the monument to Salavat Yulaev "came to life" over the Vatan park, Russia shimmered with multi-colored lights, and Bashkortostan with its coat of arms in the middle sparkled with its native green.

The grand opening of the championship continued with a concert by Egor Kreed.

On August 26, the first competition day begins at the championship grounds.
