Junior World Wrestling Championships solemnly ended in Ufa

The capital of Bashkiria has solemnly completed the Junior World Wrestling Championships. The closing ceremony was held at the Ufa-Arena with the participation of the Miras folklore song and dance ensemble.

The presenters recalled that Bashkiria had been considered the birthplace of strong warriors and batyrs since ancient times. It is symbolic that the closing of the games in Ufa took place on the Day of the Russian flag, which was repeatedly raised throughout all days of the competition in honor of the wrestlers' victories.

"On behalf of the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, I congratulate everyone on the successful completion of the Junior World Wrestling Championships. The whole world watched the fights in Ufa. I address special words of gratitude to the representatives of the United Wrestling World, the Wrestling Federation, and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation," Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria Irek Sagitov said and reminded that Ufa would soon acquire its Wrestling Palace.

On behalf of the Head of Bashkiria, Vice-President of the United World of Wrestling Akhroljan Ruziev was awarded the Order of Salavat Yulaev, and the director of the Center for Sports Training of Russian National Teams Georgy Bryusov received an award from the republic for his great contribution to the development of sports.
