Russians won three bronze medals in freestyle wrestling on third day of Junior World Championships in Ufa

On the third day of freestyle wrestling competitions at the Junior World Championships in Ufa, the next winners and prize-winners were determined. The Russians won three bronze medals.

In the category up to 61 kg, the third place was shared by Fedor Baltuev and Alibeg Alibegov from Bahrain. Athletes lost second place to Ravinder Ravinder from India and first place to Iranian Rahman Amuzalkhalili.

In the category up to 74 kg, the US representative Keegan Otoole became the triumphant, the Kazakh wrestler Nurdaulet Kuanyshbay took the silver, Turan Bayramov (Azerbaijan) and Yash Yash (India) secured the bronze.

In the category up to 86 kg, Amirhussein Firuzpurbandpey from Iran won the gold medal, Rakhim Magamadov from France climbed to the second place of the podium, Russian Islam Kartoev and Azerbaijani Sagadulla Agayev took the third place.

In the category up to 92 kg, the winner of the world championship among juniors was the athlete from America Rocky Elam, the silver medal went to the representative of Iran Mahdi Hajiloueianmorafah, the bronze Pruthviraj Patil (India) and Nicolaas Johannes De Lange (South Africa).

In the heaviest weight (up to 125 kg), Iranian Ali Akbarpourkhordouni was recognized as the best. Leva Gevorgyan from Armenia, Andrey Bestaev from Russia and Kumar Anirudh from India lost to him.

On August 19 in Ufa the winners and prize-winners among girls will be defined. Then Greco-Roman wrestling starts at the Ufa-Arena.
