The pre-season tournament in Kazan for the Champions Cup started with the match Salavat Yulaev - Metallurg. And from the very first minutes, Finnish goalkeeper Juha Metsola missed the goal. However, the rivals left for the first break with an equal score. Alexander Kadeikin scored.

The Magnitogorsk team suffered a series of penalties in the second twenty minutes. During one of them, Metallurg's most experienced goalkeeper Vasily Koshechkin could not help his partners and missed a goal by Sannikov - 2: 1. Though, the advantage did not last for a long time. A few seconds later, Tomi Lamsa's trainees conceded a goal from Brendan Leipsic. Towards the end of the period, Salavat Yulaev was carried away by the attack shorthanded, failed to return to the defense, and left Metsola against Philip Maile - 2: 3.

Gleb Kuzmin promptly scored the third goal for Salavat Yulaev. But, the 17-year-old striker of Magnitogorsk left the Ufa team in the "catching up" status. This did not suit the first line of the Salavat Yulaev. The double was scored by Alexander Kadeikin - 4: 4.

Maxim Karpov scored the next goal. A little later, the same Karpov broke the defense of the Bashkir team - 6: 4 and Salavat Yulaev did not have time to recoup.
