Grand opening of Junior World Wrestling Championships took place in Ufa, Russia

An amazing light and dance show took place at the Ufa Arena. The capital of Bashkiria became the first city in Russia to host the Junior World Wrestling Championships. Bashkir dances presented our republic, its traditions, and history to foreign guests. The parade of girls with the flags of the countries participating in the championship effectively continued the performance.

Officials took part in the opening ceremony: Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov, President of UWW Nenad Lalovich, Deputy Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Alexei Morozov, President of the Russian Wrestling Federation Mikhail Mamiashvili and three-time Olympic champion, Hero of Russia Alexander Karelin.

After the show, the program was continued by the singer Zainetdin and the wrestlers' anthem.
