UWW President Nenad Lalovic arrived in Ufa for World Junior Wrestling Championships

President of the United World Wrestling Nenad Lalovic and President of the Russian Wrestling Federation Mikhail Mamiashvili flew to the capital of Bashkiria for the junior world wrestling championship.

On August 16, Lalovich will meet with the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and visit the Rima Batalova Sports Training Center.

Today in the "Ufa-Arena" competitions in the Olympic categories of wrestling begin: freestyle and Greco-Roman. On August 16 and 17, freestyle wrestling will take place, on August 18 and 20 - women's wrestling, the Greco-Roman wrestling championship will end on August 20 and 22. The opening ceremony of the Junior World Wrestling Championships will take place at Ufa-Arena on 17 August at 4.00 pm.

On August 13 and 14, Ufa hosted grappling and grappling gi competitions as part of the Junior World Championships. In two days, Russian athletes won 39 gold medals, 24 silver and 23 bronze medals. Kazakhstan is in second place in terms of the number of awards - 18 gold medals, 23 silver and 22 bronze.
