HC Salavat Yulaev started in Bashkortostan Republic Cup with victory over Avtomobilist

The opening ceremony of the pre-season hockey tournament for the Cup of the Republic of Bashkortostan was held at the Salavat - Avtomobilist match.

The match was attended by a trainee of Bashkir hockey, world champion, and two-time Stanley Cup winner Andrei Vasilevsky and his father.

The sons of the "golden coach" of HC Salavat Yulaev Stepan and Semen Mikhalev made a symbolic throw-in.

The start of the match turned out to be active for the tournament hosts though they twice turned out to be shorthanded. The Ufa Sports Palace did not see any goals in the first period.
