HC Salavat Yulaev started in Bashkortostan Republic Cup with victory over Avtomobilist

The opening ceremony of the pre-season hockey tournament for the Cup of the Republic of Bashkortostan was held at the Salavat - Avtomobilist match.

The match was attended by a trainee of Bashkir hockey, world champion, and two-time Stanley Cup winner Andrei Vasilevsky and his father.

The sons of the "golden coach" of HC Salavat Yulaev Stepan and Semen Mikhalev made a symbolic throw-in.

The start of the match turned out to be active for the tournament hosts though they twice turned out to be shorthanded. The Ufa Sports Palace did not see any goals in the first period.

The second period of the playing time was more productive. The rivals exchanged goals and went to the second break with a score of 1: 1. Mikhail Naumenkov distinguished himself as part of the Bashkir team, Alexey Makeev - among the guests.

In the third period, Salavat Yulaev took the lead with an accurate throw performed by Sergey Shmelev. Towards the end of the match, Tomi Lamsa's trainees took advantage of the absence of the goalkeeper at the gate of the Yekaterinburg team, replaced with the sixth field player. Geoff Platt overplayed the opponent and scored the third goal - 3: 1.
