Junior World Wrestling Championships in Ufa will show future participants of 2024 Olympics

After the Tokyo Olympics, all the attention of the sports community and sports fans will be focused on Bashkiria. In three days, the Junior World Wrestling Championships start in Ufa. It is noteworthy that the republic's capital will become the first Russian city to host such competitions.

During a visit to Bashkortostan, President of the country Vladimir Putin noted that Bashkortostan could hold international tournaments at a high level and host similar and other sports competitions.

The largest sports event will bring together 1,500 participants from 54 countries in Ufa. The Junior World Wrestling Championships start on August 13 with grappling matches; Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling competitions will be held on August 16, the championships will last until August 22. The grand opening is scheduled for the Ufa-Arena site on August 17.

Note that the World Championships in the capital of Bashkiria will be a showcase for potential participants in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
