The Russian men's and women's 3x3 basketball teams won silver medals at the Tokyo Olympic Games. Both teams managed to reach the tournament's finals, with the men confidently defeating Serbia (21:10), which was the frontrunner of the Olympic Games. In the decisive match, the girls lost to the US team (15:18) and won silver.

The men also came in second. A few seconds before the end of the match, the Latvian basketball players scored a 2-point goal and became the first winners of the Olympics in this sport (21:18), the ROC press service reports.
