Judoka and gymnast from Russia won bronze medals at Tokyo Olympics

Russian judoka Madina Taymazova won a bronze medal at the Tokyo Games. In the small final of the weight category up to 70 kilograms, she defeated the reigning world champion from Croatia Barbara Matic, and became the bronze medalist of the Olympics.
The Russian Olympic Committee emphasized that Madina Taymazova spent 16 minutes and 41 seconds on the tatami in the semifinal bout with two-time world champion Tizuru Arai of Japan. Despite the defeat, the representative of the ROC team showed strong character and won an Olympic medal.
Gymnast Nikita Nagorny brought another bronze medal to the Russian team. He won his second medal at the Tokyo Games, adding a bronze medal in the individual event to the gold in the team all-around.
