Alsu Minazova reached Olympic Games semifinals in rowing slalom in single canoe

Debutante of the Olympic Games in Tokyo from Bashkiria Alsu Minazova reached the semifinals of the single canoe slalom competition. The athlete showed the 14th result in the qualifying rounds. The second attempt was the best for her: 1.58.45, including four seconds of penalty, Championat reports.
The first result was shown by Briton Mallory Franklin: 1.05.06, including two seconds of penalty.
The Singles Canoe Slalom Semifinals and Finals will take place tomorrow, July 29.
Yesterday, Alsu Minazova failed to reach the final of the rowing slalom tournament. She showed a result of 120.66 and took 17th place. Only the top 10 athletes qualify for the final.
Alsu Minazova is a native of the village of Ilishevo, Ilishevsky district of Bashkiria. She began to practice rowing slalom in May 2011, a trainee of the republican school of the Olympic reserve in rowing and canoeing. The first coaches were Valentina Egorova and Nikolai Volkov. She competes for Bashkortostan and Moscow. Alsu was selected for the Olympics back in 2019 at the world championship in the "Women's Kayak" class.
