Bashkiria Sports Minister named athletes-frontrunners at Tokyo Olympics

The Minister of Sports of Bashkiria Ruslan Khabibov noted the Bashkir representatives of fencing as one of the main frontrunners of the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

“Timur Safin is the 2016 Olympic champion. He won gold in the team tournament. He became a bronze medalist in an individual event. He is an experienced fencer who will perform as part of our team on the 1st of August. There are four representatives in the national team, one of them is our athlete. Timur has a huge experience of competing; he is an honored master of sports," Ruslan Khabibov emphasized in an interview with the BST TV channel.

We can also highlight Adelina Zagidullina. The fencer is in the Top 10 in the international ranking. She is one of the strongest fencers not only in Russia but also in the world.
