HC Salavat Yulaev defender was seriously injured at World Championship

Defender of the Ufa hockey club Salavat Yulaev and the national team of Belarus Evgeny Lisovets was seriously injured at the world championship. During the match against Sweden, the hockey player tried to throw a check against one of the leaders of the Swedish team Karl Klingberg and hit the rink board.

Doctors fixed Lisovets so that he did not make unnecessary movements. The defender was taken away on a stretcher. The match was suspended for a total of seven minutes.

In the end, Evgeny found the strength to show his thumb up, saying that he was conscious. So far, the exact diagnosis of the injured player has not been reported. However, after the match, Lisovets recorded a video and said that everything was OK, but found it difficult to answer when he would appear on the ice.

Belarus won the first victory at the World Cup in the last four years. The Swedes lost 0: 1 to the Belarusians.
