Ufa secured right to host Wrestling Championship among juniors without restrictions

The United Wrestling World (UWW) unanimously decided on Ufa's right to host the World Junior Wrestling Championship. According to the President of the Russian Wrestling Federation Mikhail Mamiashvili, on February 1, a decision was made to cancel any restrictions at the Bureau's meeting.

"This means that the Russian flag will be present at the competitions, and the Russian anthem will be played. The competition dates remain the same - the second half of August. Congratulations to the Republic of Bashkortostan, congratulations to Radiy Faritovich Khabirov - and we are preparing for this important start. In general, the preparations are proceeding as usual; quite recently, a regular meeting of the Russian Wrestling Federation working group on the event's preparation was held in Ufa. I am convinced that the organization of the competition will be at the highest level, and our national teams will come to the championship fully prepared and show themselves in the best shape," Mamiashvili said.

Recall that the capital of Bashkiria hosted a test event in 2020 - the Russian Cup in Greco-Roman Wrestling. The World Championship is scheduled for August 16-22, 2021.
