Bashkiria will bid for major international sports competitions

Bashkiria has good indicators in terms of the sports facilities number. It is 10% higher than the national average, Radiy Khabirov said at the government's final briefing session.

"But this is not enough," the Head of the Republic admitted. "For example, we set out to build swimming pools in all municipalities. This task is still on the agenda. However, this was the 20th century. Now in every district, people are already asking for ice rinks. It's a good story that we have started the construction of such facilities in Baymak and are completing them in Ishimbay."

Radiy Khabirov set the task for the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of Bashkiria in 2021 and subsequent years - to modernize and strengthen technical facilities.

The Head of the Region also recalled the continuation of funding of the "Rural Trainer" program despite the difficulties, as well as bidding for major international competitions.
