After a pause in the KHL championship, the St. Petersburg CKA team do not have any defeats. Six out of six possible points SKA won in the away series against Jokerit (4: 1), Vityaz (1: 8), and Severstal (2: 0). In St. Petersburg, Salavat Yulaev completed their tour of two capitals. Tomi Lamsa's players lost to CSKA Moscow (3: 5) and beat Dynamo (4: 3).
In the 11th minute of the first period, the CKA goalkeeper failed to react to Sakari Manninen's throw of the puck and conceded the first goal. Then forward Nikita Soshnikov was accurate on the powerplay - 0: 2.
After the break, the Russian national team's goalkeeper, the Karjala Cupholder, 18-year-old Yaroslav Askarov, took place in the net. This change cheered up the Petersburgers, who managed to score one goal in the 27th minute. Burdasov was the one to score - 1: 2. The Ufa team held up well during the penalty time and quickly went over to the offensive, giving Juha Metsola a little rest. The arena in St. Petersburg did not see more effective actions performed by rivals.
In the final segment of the playing time, SKA continued to pressure, although Salavat Yulaev raided the Askarov's territory. Burdasov scored a double in the 50th minute - 2:2. After that, the teams demonstrated accurate play, trying not to make mistakes. As a result, the caution allowed the rivals to earn at least one point and transfer the meeting to overtime. It took the hosts 13 seconds to win. Former Salavat forward Vladimir Tkachev brought the second point to his current team - 3: 2.
Lamsa's team returns to Ufa, where they will meet with Spartak on November 20.
