Elbrus Nigmatullin pulled 36-ton aircraft and set Russian record in Ufa

A Russian record has been set at the Ufa Airport today.
The holder of the "The Strongest Man of Russia" title, 46-year-old Elbrus Nigmatullin pulled a 36-ton Boeing-737-500. The distance was 25 meters; the time was 44.58 seconds.
"I dedicate this record to the mayor of Ufa, Ulfat Mustafin, who passed away," said Elbrus Nigmatullin.
The athlete admitted that training was different 20 years ago. At a mature age, all sensations and training for the "truck-pull plane" discipline are different and more difficult. Elbrus Nigmatullin noted that his record coincided with the momentous day when the Ufa International Airport welcomed its two millionth passenger.
"The Ufa Airport is always ready to support persons who, by their example, inspire young people, glorify the republic and reach new heights," the general director of the Ufa International Airport Alexander Andreev noted. "I am glad that the athlete managed to cope with his supertask. We have once again proved our high professional level, despite the pandemic, we were the first to serve the two millionth passenger in the Volga Federal District and retain the leading positions that we have occupied since 2013".
