Salavat Yulaev defeated Avangard in Ufa and came forward in playoffs series

As predicted, the third match of the playoff series between Salavat Yulaev and Avangard turned out to be dramatic - the full Ufa-Arena and two already principal rivals in playoffs games.

Salavat Yulaev in the first period looked a little better than Hawks. However, guests from Omsk were able to send the puck twice behind Juha Metsola's back. Moreover, it took Sergei Shumakov a minute and a half for the first accurate throw. After 14 minutes, Alexei Emelin doubled the lead. The teams left for the break with a score of 0: 2.

In the second twenty-minute period Ufa players managed to tie the scores. The first goal came from Alexander Burmistrov, the second – from Peter Khokhryakov, who recently recovered from an injury.

In the debut of the third period in 50 seconds, the foreign players' line performed a beautiful combination, which Sakari Manninen completed with an accurate throw - 3: 2. Then Hartikainen made a double in six minutes. Goalkeeper Igor Bobkov was forced to go to the bench. The net of the Avangard went out to defend Emil Garipov. The Ufa-Arena roared and continued to urge the Bashkir team forward.

In the 53rd minute of the match, Bashkirov had a two-minute penalty and Macmillan capitalized on the powerplay and reduced the backlog of Omsk - 5: 3. Three minutes before the final siren, Bob Hartley went all-in, replacing the goalkeeper with the sixth field. But his plan did not work out. The Avangard team got the sixth goal into the empty net.
