11 new sports facilities will be opened in Bashkiria in 2020

In 2020, Bashkiria plans to open 11 new or updated sports facilities for residents and athletes of the republic. It was announced at an expanded meeting of the board of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy by the head of the department, Ruslan Khabibov.
“This is a reconstruction of four stadiums: in Beloretsk, Meleuz, Neftekamsk, and Kumertau. This year, the reconstruction of the Ufa “Neftyanik” swimming pool will be completed. In Ishimbay an indoor ice rink will be finished. It is also planned to build three pools in Fedorovka, Ermolaevo, and Akyar settlements. Sports complexes with pools will appear in Raevka, Sharan. Another 16 pools on standard designs will be built in all municipalities of the republic by 2024”, the Minister of Youth Policy and Sports of Bashkiria explained.
According to Ruslan Khabibov, the other day, the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov, set the ministry a task of finding sources to finance the sports facilities maintenance.
In 2021-2022, large sports centers will appear in Ufa: the Volleyball Center, the Palace of Wrestling and the Center for Gymnastics. Ruslan Khabibov noted that federal funds of 450 million rubles were raised to finance the last facility. According to the same scheme, Ufa wants to attract money from the center for the construction of the Sports Palace, the cost of which is estimated at 3 billion 186 million rubles. The Minister of Youth Policy and Sports expressed a willingness to cover 50% of this amount from the federal budget.
