Omsk Avangard leads Salavat Yulaev series

The first match of the Salavat Yulaev playoff series - Avangard started in Balashikha. Guests from Bashkiria, with the support of the "green sector," the republic and Ufa players, were the first to score in this match. Kugryshev, Burmistrov, and Omark demonstrated a good play. The Swedish forward turned home the pass of two partners and hit already in the empty corner of the Hawks net.

After a successful combination, Mikhail Pashnin hit his opponent in the face, for which he had four minutes of penalty. Before the break, Sergei Shumakov managed to equalize - 1: 1.

Then emotions ran high as Avangard scored four goals. Salavat Yulaev managed to hit the net only once. In the 24th minute, Shumakov assisted Kirill Semenov to score the second goal against Metsola - 2: 1. Then Andrei Stas scored, doubling the advantage of Omsk. The line of Ufa’s foreign players made the situation a bit less intense. Hartikainen assisted by Manninen, and Omark threw the puck behind the back of the Hawks goalkeeper. However, it was responded by two more goals by Kirill Semenov and Valentin Pyanov. The latter was scored in the powerplay, which Avangard won after a video demanded by coaches of the guests for the offside - 5: 2.

In the last 20 minutes, guests from Ufa could not turn the match around. Omsk Avangard led in this series 1-0. The second game will take place in Balashikha on March 3.
