3.5 billion rubles are allocated for international wrestling center construction in Ufa

An international wrestling center will appear in Ufa. It will be located in the Glumilino neighborhood of in the quarter of Gareev - Rekhmukov - Nureyev - Komsomolskaya Streets.

The center’s construction project has been included in the republican targeted investment program of the republic. The project cost is estimated at 3.58 billion rubles, according to the official portal of legal information.

Funding is provided for 2020-2022. The first tranche in 2020 will be allocated in the amount of 500 million, the second tranche in 2021 - in the amount of 800 million, the third tranche in 2022 - 2.28 billion rubles.

Center area of 29 thousand square meters will be designed for 3319 visitors. It will house a gym, a youth sports school for children, a hotel, and a medical rehabilitation center.

The ceremony of laying the capsule in the first stone of the construction of the new Republican Wrestling Center took place in August 2019. The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov then said that this would be the largest Wrestling Palace in Russia.

“We have been designing this center for almost a year, and in the future, it will be possible to hold competitions of the highest level here, up to the Olympic Games level. There will be 19 mats for classes, all kinds of wrestling will be located here: freestyle and Greco-Roman, sambo and judo, the national wrestling kuresh”.
