Bashkiria native will compete at European Bobsled Championship

The coaching staff of the Russian bobsled and skeleton team decided on the composition of the team for the upcoming European Championship in Latvian Sigulda. The list of athletes included a native of Neftekamsk, a trainee of the Bashkir bobsledding Renata Khuzina.

"The team for the European Championship, which will be held within the framework of the World Cup, included skeleton racers Elena Nikitina, Julia Kanakina, Renata Khuzina, Alexander Tretyakov, Nikita Tregubov and Evgeny Rukosuev," the Russian head coach Danil Chaban reported to TASS. "In the bobsleigh tournament, the crews of Alexei Stulnev and Rostislav Gaityukevich, as well as Nadezhda Sergeeva, Lyubov Chernykh and Alena Osipenko will compete. We will decide on pushers a bit later".

From the first day, Renata Khuzina has been trained by Rustem Faizov. The athlete's highest achievement at the moment is the silver medal of the 2017 world championship and third place in the overall standings of the European Cup 2014/2015.
