Radiy Khabirov praised achievements of young trainees at Verkhnie Kigi sports school

The Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov visited a Youth Sports School in the village of Verkhnie Kigi, which is undergoing major repairs. Recall that during the last working trip to the Kiginsky district on April 12, 2019, the Head of Bashkortostan ordered the local authorities to prepare the necessary documentation and begin the overhaul of the sports school building. The necessary funds of 17.8 million rubles were allocated from the republican budget. The building constructed in 1997 has sports and gym halls, a swimming pool, a ski base, as well as premises for various sports classes. The complex is the only one in the north-east of the republic with a swimming pool. According to the director of the sports school, Alexander Urazaev, the major overhaul of the roof, window blocks, pool, sauna premises, repair of the swimming pool process equipment is underway. It is planned to complete the repair of the sports school in the first quarter of 2020.

Radiy Khabirov positively assessed the progress of the work and noted that they should be performed efficiently, but without delay the time so that the children could quickly resume their training.

Trainees of the Youth Sports School annually show high results in sports; there are champions of the republic, Russia, and the world among them.

The “Batyr” club also operates in the village of Verkhnie Kigi, in which pupils master the Kyokushin karate technique. In October 2019, 13-year-old Minara Shahbanova won the title of European champion in karate in Portugal at the 33rd European Kyokushin Championship.
