UFA, 13 January 2020. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
Salavat Yulaev completed the home series of the KHL regular season with a convincing victory against Dinamo (Riga) - 5-0.
The main goalkeeper was Andrei Kareyev, and Juha Metsola remained in reserve. Besides, Mikhail Pashnin, Dmitry Kugryshev, Ilya Krikunov, Alexei Pustozerov, and Linus Omark did not take part in the game. Instead, Shakir Mukhamadullin, Alexei Semenov, Evgeny Lisovets, Alexander Burmistrov and Alexei Kruchinin appeared on the ice.
The Ufa residents began to confirm the status of the favorite of this match from the first minutes. Salavat Yulaev players surpassed the opponent in speed, action and therefore not surprisingly led the score.
Kadeikin freely drove behind the Dinamo net, made a pass to Zharkov, who whipped a one-timer and brought the Ufa team forward - 1: 0.
Both teams began the second period extremely actively and painstakingly. At the same time, Salavat Yulaev players looked faster and forced Dinamo to break the rules. The Ufa team scored a pair of powerplay goals in succession.
First, Hartikainen and then Gimatov scored the goals - 3: 0.
However, then the Ufa residents stayed shorthanded and successfully defended themselves. It was a highly safe game of goalkeeper Andrei Kareyev, which largely contributed to it.
The final third of the match also took place with a noticeable playing advantage of Salavat Yulaev. Despite the lead in the score, the Ufa team continued to act as zealously as possible, trying to score more goals.
They were soon rewarded for this with another goal. The team of Nikolai Tsulygin made a good vertical transition attack, which Kruchinin completed with one-timer - 4: 0.
And a second goal for Gimatov finished a big win for the home team, the press service of HC Salavat Yulaev summarized.
