Salavat Yulaev lost to Ambri-Piotte in first match for Spengler Cup. Next game with TPS

UFA, 27 December 2019. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
The first match of HC Salavat Yulaev for the Spengler Cup in Swiss Davos ended in defeat with a high score for guests from Ufa - 4: 1. The Ambri-Piotta club in the first period twice hit the Andrei Kareev’s net, and after the break, Mueller organized the third goal against the Ufa team and provided a comfortable advantage for the nominal hosts of the arena.
Salavat Yulaev still managed to score one goal. At the end of the twenty-minute Eugene Lisovets delivered a putback.
In the final segment of the game, Salavat Yulaev literally occupied the opponent’s zone and carried out attack after attack. Ufa hockey players took the initiative in almost every line change, but some mystic things were happening at the net of Ambri-Piotte. It seemed that the bar would crack from the throws of the Nikolai Tsulygin team. Changing the goalkeeper to the sixth player did not help Salavat; moreover, it worsened the situation. The Swiss forward threw the puck in the direction of the goal, and Lisovets, trying to save the net, moved into them speedily. Local referees made a rather unexpected decision, having scored a goal - 4: 1.
