Short Track Center opened in Ufa in honor of 100th anniversary of republic

A Short Track Center officially opened in Ufa today. This sports facility was built to mark the 100th anniversary of the republic at the expense of the federal and regional budgets. There are equipped with an indoor skating rink 60 by 30 meters, a choreography room, gym, massage room, locker rooms, and other premises.

The press service of the Ministry of Sports of Bashkiria noted that in the future, the center would be able to host all-Russian and international competitions.

“The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov set the task of actively involving the population in physical education and sports,” said Andrei Nazarov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republican Government. “And today, with the opening of the Center, we can claim to hold competitions of a serious level. This is very important in terms of promoting sports. ”

The construction of the Short Track Center began in 2012 and stopped several times. The works were resumed a year ago.
