The hockey club Salavat Yulaev returned to Ufa ice after three consecutive defeats. The Finnish Jokerit was the first rival of Salavat Yulaev at the short home series. Guests from Helsinki, despite the active attacking actions of the hosts, were the first to open a score in this confrontation. The teams left for the break with a score of 0: 1, thanks to the goal of the best scorer of the Jokerit Brian O'Neill.

The second period was important primarily for the Ufa defender Alexei Semenov. The defense player scored his first goal of the season assisted by Amirov and Kugryshev in the powerplay. However, Henrik Haapala brought Jokerit forward, which greatly pleased fans of the Finnish club at the Ufa Arena.
