Salavat Yulaev defeats CSKA in Moscow for first time in eight years

UFA, 15 November 2019. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
The hockey club "Salavat Yulaev" continued the away series in Moscow. The match with CSKA turned out to be extremely interesting and eventful. Guests from Ufa were the first to open a score in the starting period after two penalties of Linus Omark. Philip Larsen made an accurate point shot on Ilya Sorokin’s net. But Salavat Yulaev held the lead for exactly 25 seconds. Andrey Svetlakov after three minutes increased the advantage of the home team. The opponents left for the first break with a score of 2: 2. Sakari Manninen and his partners were successful.
The second period was not productive with goals but was emotional. The former defender of the CSKA and the current Salavat Yulaev player Mikhail Pashnin presented a stick of Anton Slepyshev to a fan in the stands secretly from the owner of the stick.
In the final segment of the playing time, the team of judges twice had a video review of scoring chances. The first goal, played by CSKA striker Tolchinsky, was canceled by the chief referee Viktor Gashilov, reasoning that the player accidentally made contact with the goalkeeper of Salavat, which affected the goal. Further, the coach of the Muscovites made a coaching request, which they did not satisfy. The goal was recorded for Pashnin. Two minutes later, Maxim Mayorov sent the fourth puck behind Ilya Sorokin - 4: 2. The fifth goal was already scored by the guests from Bashkiria at the last second of the match. Dmitry Kugryshev scored a goal.
The Ufa team earned two points, having won CSKA in Moscow for the first time in eight years. Salavat Yulaev leaves for Yaroslavl to meet with Lokomotiv.
