FC Ufa dropped out of competition for Cup of Russia

The last cup match this season was held by the Ufa football club at the VEB Arena in Moscow. Vadim Evseev's team lost to CSKA in a tough struggle but conceded a goal in stoppage time - in the 93rd minute.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper of Muscovites Ilya Pomazun coped with the attack of both Azer Aliyev and Lovro Bizyak. Traditionally, guests from Bashkiria lacked a final productive strike.

CSKA Slovenian midfielder Yaka Bijol performed a fatal shot on the net of Alexander Belenov. The head coach of FC Ufa Vadim Evseev at the post-match press conference was brief. The specialist congratulated CSKA on reaching the quarter-finals of the Russian Cup and left.

Ufa will continue to perform in the Russian Championship this Saturday, November 2. The Bashkir team will meet with Lokomotiv in a home match.

FC Ufa has five matches left before the winter break: two at home and three away. The Evseev’s wards will play the last RPL match in 2019 with Sochi at the Neftyanik Stadium on November 24.
