Badminton players from Ufa scored points for getting to Olympics in Tokyo

A mixed pair of badminton players from Ufa Alina Davletova and Rodion Alimov won the gold medal of the Dubai International Challenge 2019. This allowed the trainees of the Olympic Reserve School No. 7 to score the necessary points for a ticket to the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020.

Alina and Rodion defeated couples from Denmark, India, and Korea at the competitions in the UAE.

“In our games, we tried to win with speed, confidence, pushing from the first points. There were times when we lost concentration, and therefore errors appeared, but in every match we did not lose the initiative and played until the end”, said Alina Davletova.
