Bashkiria has improved indicators in ranking of people’s commitment to healthy lifestyle

In the ranking of the regions according to the population’s commitment to a healthy lifestyle, Bashkortostan takes 29th place, according to RIA Novosti, which compiled a rating of the country's regions according to Rosstat, the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Sports of Russia. It is clarified that during the study, experts analyzed eight indicators, including: the share of the population involved in physical education and sports; tobacco consumption; sale of alcohol; the number of identified persons who committed crimes while intoxicated; mortality from accidental alcohol poisoning; the share of people employed at work with harmful and hazardous working conditions. Bashkiria scored 70.6 points and improved its performance by one line since 2017, having taken 29th place.

The average score was 65.4 points. The Republic of Dagestan topped the ranking of the population’s commitment to a healthy lifestyle and scored 90.9 points. The Kamchatka Territory took the last line with 40.7 points.
