The Ufa native and Russian driver Daniil Kvyat finished seventh at the 13th stage of the Formula 1 World Cup, the Belgian Grand Prix. The representative of the Toro Rosso team started from the 19th position and at the beginning of the race reached 11th position.

“We had a fantastic race. A breakthrough from the last row to seventh place is an excellent result, ”Toro Rosso's press service quotes Kvyat. “We made a lot of overtaking and applied an excellent strategy. Also today we had a good speed, thanks to which we were competitive. We put everything together, and I am very pleased with the race and the final result. It was fun”.

Ferrari pilot Charles Lecler won the Belgian Grand Prix for the first time in his professional career. The second was the representative of the Mercedes Lewis Hamilton, the third - Valterri Bottas from the Mercedes.

Kvyat took eighth place with 33 points in the overall standings.
