Fifth Ufa International Marathon will cost 20 million rubles

On September 1, the capital of Bashkiria will host the Fifth Ufa International Marathon. This year, on the occasion of the anniversary, the organizers have already hit several records. For the first time in the history of this sporting event, about five thousand people will take part in it. At the moment, registration for the children's and two-kilometer distance is closed. There are still places for 5, 10, 21.1, 42.2 km and corporate races.

According to the director of the marathon Vladislav Litvinchuk, the total funding for the race is 20 million rubles. About one and a half million were invested by the Ufa administration, which will provide 600 barriers, 70 units of heavy equipment, 140 concrete blocks for the safety of marathon runners. Contributions of participants made 30% of the budget of the Ufa International Marathon [about 5-6 million rubles]. The sporting event was also funded by the regional Ministry Of Youth Policy And Sports - the agency contributed 300 thousand rubles.

At the moment, participants from 20 countries, 49 regions, and 240 cities have registered for the Ufa International Marathon.

On August 30, the organizers will begin issuing numbers, paraphernalia of the marathon. The first 1,500 runners who come for backpacks with marathon symbols will be given tickets for the Saturday football match “Ufa” - “Orenburg” for free.

During six hours, the entire marathon will be broadcast on the YouTube channel, and within three hours on the BST channel. Besides, each participant can be monitored on a mobile phone to find out where he/she is, and how much he has left to run. The presenter of the International Children's Games Vadim Zlobin will call the broadcast and for a short time, he will be joined by Dmitry Guberniev.
