Agatha Parahina from Ishimbay became best blitz draughts player in world

Yesterday, individual and team world championship on international draughts in the blitz event ended in Riga. The Russian national team, the backbone of which was made up of players from the Central Draughts Club “Bashkortostan”, has 3 gold medals out of 4 possible, two silver and one bronze medals.
Among women, Agata Parakhina from the city of Ishimbay became the world champion for the first time (coach Vladimir Milshin - Ishimbayskaya draughts school). The student of Bashkir Medical University. Agatha Parakhina was only the third world champion in the individual standings in the history of Bashkortostan’s draughts, after Tamara Tansykkuzhina and Aigul Idrisova. The second place was taken by Nika Leopoldova from St. Petersburg, the third went to Victoria Motrichko from Ukraine. Among men, Alexander Schwartzman (Moscow region) was the first, Jane Groenendyk (Netherlands) the second, Ainur Shaibakov (Ufa) - the third.
137 athletes from Asia, Africa, and Europe took part in the competition. The women's national team of Russia (Aigul Idrisova, Nika Leopoldova, Elena Milshina, Tamara Tansykkuzhina, Tunaara Fedorova) won the team gold, and the men's team (Murodullo Amrillaev, Alexander Georgiev, Alexander Getmansky, Alexey Chizhov, Ainur Shaibakov) won the silver, having yielded the Netherlands on the third criterion.
