Yesterday, individual and team world championship on international draughts in the blitz event ended in Riga. The Russian national team, the backbone of which was made up of players from the Central Draughts Club “Bashkortostan”, has 3 gold medals out of 4 possible, two silver and one bronze medals.

Among women, Agata Parakhina from the city of Ishimbay became the world champion for the first time (coach Vladimir Milshin - Ishimbayskaya draughts school). Agatha Parakhina was only the third world champion in the individual standings in the history of Bashkortostan’s draughts, after Tamara Tansykkuzhina and Aigul Idrisova. The second place was taken by Nika Leopoldova from St. Petersburg, the third went to Victoria Motrichko from Ukraine.
