Ufa hockey trainee Pavel Shen will continue his career in NHL

A trainee of the Ufa hockey school, forward of HC Salavat Yulaev Pavel Shen, signed a contract with the finalist of the Stanley Cup 2018/19 Boston Bruins. The 19year-old forward was selected for the NHL draft last year under 212 number. The employment contract with Shen is concluded for three years.

According to TASS, Sheng’s salary, including bonuses, will be 926 thousand US dollars.

The forward joined HC Salavat Yulaev last season. During this time, he spent 20 matches of the KHL for the main team and recorded one goal assist. His professional career includes games for the youth team "Tolpar" and Neftekamsk "Toros".

At the beginning of 2019, Pavel Shen became a bronze medalist of the World Championship as part of the Russian youth team.

The press service of HC Salavat Yulaev noted that Ufa would still have the rights to Shen in the KHL. As compensation, the Salavat Yulaev received money for the player.
