Ufa judoist Aliya Mukhametyanova brought first gold ICG team

The Ufa team won the first gold medal on the first competitive day of the 53rd International Children's Games. The first place in the weight category up to 48 kg went to a trainee of the “Batyr” sports school, 14-year-old Aliya Mukhametyanova. The judo wrestler after three victories became the undisputed winner.
“The young athlete not only brought the first prize to the Ufa team but also became the owner of the first gold medal at the 53rd Summer International Children's Games,” the press service of ICG-2019 specified.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that on July 11, as part of the Games, rock climbing, swimming, football, 3x3 basketball, fencing, beach volleyball, Greco-Roman wrestling, and athletics competitions would also be held in the capital of Bashkiria.
