Radiy Khabirov: Bashkiria welcomes open-heartedly International Children's Games

Bashkortostan welcomes the 53rd International Summer Children's Games open-heartedly and with traditional Bashkir hospitality. The Acting Head of the republic Radiy Khabirov said this during the opening ceremony of sports competitions.

The head of the region read out a greeting by Russian President Vladimir Putin to the participants, organizers, and guests of the International Children's Games, in which the head of state noted:

“It is gratifying that Russia and the capital of Bashkortostan, Ufa host again these remarkable competitions, aimed at strengthening the ideals of Olympism, promoting the values of a healthy, active lifestyle, developing friendship and mutual understanding between representatives of the young generation from different countries. The republic has gained great experience in organizing and conducting such large-scale and prestigious events”.

Radiy Khabirov wished all young athletes brilliant victories and good luck in competitions, and all the fans - to enjoy vivid emotions and good mood.

As part of the 53rd International Summer Children's Games, competitions will be held in nine Olympic sports: athletics, swimming, fencing, Greco-Roman wrestling, judo, mini-football, 3x3 basketball, beach volleyball, and rock climbing. 1192 athletes from 84 cities of 29 countries of the world take part in the Games.
