Alexander Georgiev from Bashkortostan still tops world rating of draughts players

A regular rating list of the World Draughts Federation was released: Alexander Georgiev nine-time world champion from Ufa took the first line, Tamara Tansykkuzhina is in the the third place in the women's rating.

Total, 13 athletes from Ufa, Sterlitamak, Ishimbay reached the Top 100 for men and women, 10 of them are from the Bashkortostan Central Draughts Club.

Alexander Georgiev headed the world ranking since July 1, 2018, and since that time he has not left the leading position. The Ufa native Ainur Shaibakov is in the 22nd position of the rating (went up one step, +1). The Sterlitamak resident Murodullo Amrillaev is the 36th (+2). Vladimir Milshin, the coach of the Ishimbay draughts sports school, is the 83rd (-1), Maxim Milshin, the Ishimbay sports school graduate - 84th (-1).

There are significant changes in the Top-20 among women after the World Cup in Yakutsk.

The rating list is updated once every three months and takes into account the results of past competitions.

The next rating list of the World Draughts Federation will be released on October 1. Since 1980, there have been 101 issues. Alexander Georgiev was the number 1 of the rating 22 times - this is the second result in history.
