Technical opening of Agidel Sports Training Center by International Children’s Games-2019 took place in Ufa

Today in the capital of Bashkiria, the technical opening of the Sports Training Center timed to the 53rd International Children's Games has been held. The new sports facility will be named Agidel and, will host ICG competitions in four sports: Greco-Roman wrestling, swimming, fencing, and athletics.

“Today, the capital of Bashkortostan is fully ready to accept the International Children's Games,” assured the Minister of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic Ruslan Habibov. “This is one of the best sports facilities in Russia. The best conditions for our future Olympic champions are created here. ”

According to the minister, multiple Olympic medalists will come to Ufa to open the Games and the center.

In addition to test training in wrestling and fencing, a test swim in a 50-meter pool was held in the Agidel Sports Training Center today. The concept of sports center development is being formed today. According to Ruslan Habibov, representatives of the leading sports of the region, sports schools of Ufa will be training here, the Ural Volleyball Club is also ready to use this venue for its home games.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that from July 9 to July 14, Ufa will host 53rd International Children's Games. 1207 young athletes in nine sports will participate in the competition. Also, the competition will be held at the "Neftyanik" stadium, in the "Kashkadan" park, sports school No. 32 and in "Vatan" Ethnic Park. The opening of the ICG-2019 will take place in Ufa Arena.
