Bashkir draughts player Tamara Tansykkuzhina became world champion for sixth time

A Bashkir athlete Tamara Tansykkuzhina became a six-time world champion, having won in the final round of the 44th World Championship in International Draughts Ukrainian athlete Victoria Motrichko, the press service of the Central Draughts Club "Bashkortostan" informs. Competitions ended in Yakutsk on June 23.
Aigul Idrisova became the vice-champion. Tamara Tansykkuzhina received a certificate for five thousand euros for the first place, and Aigul Idrisova - for 3.5 thousand euros.
Their coaches shared the success of the athletes: Yuri Chertok - Tamara Tansykkuzhina and Alexander Melnikov (first coach), Ainur Shaibakov - Aigul Idrisova.
Bronze went to Daria Fedorovich from Belarus.
“In 2020, we will have a rematch between Natalia Sadovskaya and Tamara Tansykkuzhina,” the press service of the Draughts Club said.
A total of 16 athletes from Russia, Poland, China, the Netherlands, and other countries took part in the World Draughts Championship, which was held in Yakutsk from June 11 to 23.
