Bashkortostan kickboxers won five medals at World Cup in Italy

2760 athletes from 42 countries competed for the World Kickboxing Cup medals in Italy. Four athletes represented Bashkiria. During the four days of competition, they managed to win five medals of various denominations.

According to the Republican Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports, gold medals went to a trainee of the youth sports school No. 2 of Ishimbai Anton Ovechkin in the K1 event and a weight category of +91 kg and Valery Evgrafov from Ufa, a trainee of the sports school No.7 in the light contact event and a weight category of up to 94 kg. Evgrafov also ranked third in the weight category up to 89 kg.

Aivar Gafurov from Ufa won a silver medal in the light contact, w/c 89 kg, and Irina Matorina from Ufa had a bronze in the full contact with a low kick, w/c 60 kg.
