Second stage “Children of the World” international bicycle expedition starts in Ufa on June 12

On the Day of Russia at noon a cycling expedition "Children of the World" starts from the square near the Russian Dramatic Theater in Ufa. A traveler Anton Sazonov plans to overcome 6 thousand kilometers in five months. During this time he will travel from Ufa to Lisbon, and he will visit 11 European countries on his trip.

“I combine bicycle traveling around the world with a mission of delivering letters from Russian schoolchildren to schools all over the world. I ask them to write about openness, equality, universal values because these things are the same for all people on earth. I also ask to write in letters about the places where we live, about Bashkortostan, about Russia and its other regions, ”says Anton Sazonov.

The project is being implemented under the auspices of UNESCO with the support of the Bashkir Branch of the Russian Geographical Society. Besides, the official website of the expedition reports that the “Children of the World” project has won a presidential grant.

As previously reported by the Bashinform News Agency, the first bicycle expedition "Children of the World" was held on the island of Bali (Indonesia) in 2018.

The other day, a 69-year-old Italian Francesca Filippi, who is traveling by bike from Moscow to Vladivostok, was welcomed in Ufa. Her main idea is to know to understand - the traveler wants to understand Russia better and conveys the message of friendship between all people.
