Radiy Khabirov: “We are planning to build international wrestling center in Ufa”

The Acting Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, on his Facebook page, shared the plans on constructing an international wrestling center in Glumilino neighborhood of the Oktyabrsky district of Ufa.

“Many of you know that wrestling is traditionally highly developed in our republic. Tens of thousands of children and adults are engaged in it, we have a lot of clubs and classes, a lot of victories at competitions of different levels ... But at the same time, we do not have a single significant sports facility for wrestling. Therefore, we are planning to build an international wrestling center in Glumilino, the Oktyabrsky district of Ufa,” the head of the region posted.

The project provides for the construction of a sports complex for international and Russian competitions with a universal sports and concert hall, with a large playfield (32 × 62 m) and an amphitheater with 3,400 seats, as well as a gym, an assembly hall and a wrestling hall.

“One of the wrestling halls is designed for six mats. We will focus on children's sports, create the best conditions for young athletes. How do you find this idea? ”, Radiy Khabirov asked the residents of the republic on social media.
