St. Petersburg will host World Hockey Championship in 2023

Today the International Ice Hockey Federation at the Congress in Bratislava made a formal decision to hold the World Cup 2023 in Russia. St. Petersburg will host the event, said IIHF President Rene Fasel. The press service of the Russian Hockey Federation noted that the decision was made unanimously.

It should be marked that the presentation of St. Petersburg as the capital of the world hockey championship in 2023 was conducted by Vladislav Tretiak. FHR President spoke about the city, the transport infrastructure, the new multi-functional ice arena, the project of which will be implemented by 2023.
