1600 people took part in All-Russian Half Marathon "ZaBeg.RF" in Ufa

On May 19, the All-Russian Half Marathon "ZaBeg.RF" took place in Ufa. The sporting event started simultaneously in 19 cities of Russia, altogether 70 thousand runners came to the start. In the Bashkir capital, 1,600 people joined the All-Russian campaign, the city mayor’s press service reported.

“The route passed through the historic center of the city. The weather was fine. Each participant adequately ran his/her distance. I think we will take part in a larger composition at the Ufa Marathon”, said Andrei Komzalov, the race participant, sharing his impressions.

The start and finish of the race took place on the square in front of the "Toratau" Congress Hall. Runners covered distances of 2, 5, 10 or 21 kilometers. Each of them received a T-shirt with a symbol of the city of Ufa, and at the finish - a unique medal.

The city, which will be recognized as the winner in the half marathon, will win the honorary title of the running capital of Russia.

The synchronous start is one of the unique features of the All-Russian Half Marathon, due to which the project has become one of the largest sporting events in the country and was included in the Guinness Book of Records.
