Radiy Khabirov headed Wrestling Federation board of trustees in Bashkiria

Today in Ufa, a meeting of the members of the “Wrestling Federation of the Republic of Bashkortostan” took place. It was also visited by the Acting Head of the republic Radiy Khabirov. Several issues were on the agenda, including the election of a new president of the federation, deputies, members of the executive committee and chairman of the board of trustees.

Radiy Khabirov expressed a desire to make wrestling a more popular sport. The head of the republic did not set goals for winning a large number of top-ranking sports medals. In his opinion, the main thing is that the region should become a flagship wrestling subject of Russia. Radiy Khabirov also noted that the federation would be financed at “more intensive rates and significant amounts”, and a special center would be built for the wrestlers. It is also planned to create a boarding school for sports wrestlers.

During the meeting, Radiy Khabirov was elected the Chairman of the board of trustees of the Wrestling Federation in Bashkortostan by the majority of votes; Artur Akhmetkhanov became its president. The new head of the federation immediately set the first task - to develop youth sport.
