HC Salavat Yulaev re-signed Juha Metsola until 2022

The Ufa hockey club "Salavat Yulaev" re-signed a contract with the best goalkeeper of the KHL. The renewed agreement with Juha Metsola is valid until 2022, reports TASS. When the Finnish goalkeeper was transferred from Khabarovsk “Amur” to the Bashkir team, the employment contract was signed until April 30, 2020. Before this, the most long-term contract with Salavat Yulaev belonged to Grigory Panin (until 2021).

It is marked that the Metsola’s contract with Salavat Yulaev has been re-signed on improved terms.

In the 11th season of the KHL Juha Metsola played for the Ufa club 48 matches, 25 of which ended in victory (four shutouts). On average, the goalkeeper saved 93.4% of shots on his goal, in the playoff games, he improved this figure to 95.6%. This is the best result among all Kontinental Hockey League goalkeepers.
