Yuri Chertok presented Bashkir draughts school in Italy

The founder of the modern draughts school of Bashkortostan, the honored trainer of Russia Yuri Chertok presented the draughts school of the republic in Italy. This happened in Rome, in the building of the Italian Olympic Committee, during a solemn event dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Italian Draughts Federation (FID) and the next meeting of the steering committee of the World Draughts Federation. Yuri Chertok took part in both international sports events and was the only representative from Russia, the Federation of International Draughts of Bashkortostan reports.

The guests of honor were invited to the anniversary celebration: the leadership of the World Draughts Federation - President Janek Maggi, Secretary General Yuri Chertok, Vice-President of the IASA Harry Otten, as well as the National Olympic Committee of Italy, athletes, officials.

Yuri Chertok is Russia's first secretary general of the World Draughts Federation, the only person from Bashkiria who holds such a high post in world sports federations. In the 2000s, Yuri Chertok was part of a large team that organized the system of the World Mind Games - the Olympics for intellectual sports. The first Mind Games were held in Beijing after the Olympic Games from October 3 to October 18, 2008.
